Keith Elementary’s Alexa Bien medals at regional championships in Akron, Ohio

Keith Elementary’s Alexa Bien put together a pair of personal best scores on the floor and balance beam earning her a bronze medal finish at the gymnastics regional championships on Saturday, May 6.

Bien was one of 15 silver level gymnasts to represent the state of Michigan in Akron, Ohio after taking home a state crown in mid-April. Alexa took gold in her age group at the state meet in Mt. Pleasant and second overall out of 704 gymnasts. Bien’s all-around score at the state meet, 38.800, was a personal best. She won gold on the bars (9.850), balance beam (9.700), and floor (9.675).
